Cupcake Update

Today’s cupcake from Revel was pumpkin and chocolate chip, topped with shredded coconut. It was somewhere near my ideal cupcake – the main cakey part was spicy and not too sweet, and was carefully punctuated by solid little chunks of dark chocolate. It might have been slightly on the dry side if I’d been eating it by itself, but instead went perfectly with the soy flat white I was drinking.

While I like to look at well-frosted cupcakes topped with beautiful pastel icing, when it comes to the actual eating I’m not such a sweettooth. This was sweet enough without being sugary, and had an interesting combination of flavours. Would eat again. Might eat again tomorrow, if there are any left.
