New fried thing at Burgerfuel

motobites

I wrote recently about the return of the Combustion Tofu to Burgerfuel. Along with this old favourite, I’ve recently discovered a new vegan fast-food treat.

Motobites are tasty little deep-fried balls of crumbed pumpkin and ginger. Burgerfuel confirmed via Twitter that they’re vegan-friendly. By default, they come with non-vegan sauces, but they’re really good with relish (pictured).

This addition to Burgerfuel’s menu expands the range of easy vegan things you can find in most any Auckland suburb, and towns across New Zealand. It’s great to see Burgerfuel’s vegan options expanding.

  1. I’ve been eating these for a few years now – they go amazingly well with Kingland soy mayonnaise (which is more like a salad cream). So any relish that’s a bit creamy and a bit mustardy just brings out all the wonderful flavours.
