It’s a snack bar in the same general food group as Lärabars – made mostly of blended dried fruit and nuts. It differs from Lärabars in that it also adds rice protein to the recipe, and all ingredients are certified organic. The flavours all look pretty tasty and all are vegan. I really liked the cherry cashew bar, and think I’d like to try the wild blueberry bar next. They’re a bit pricey and not local at all, but a nice option for an occasional treat.
The other selling point for the Pure Bar is its sweet backstory – the company owner created the snack after her six-year-old daughter decided to go vegetarian. Together, they designed the range of healthy and delicious plant-based bars.
