This evening’s dessert was a shared cup of Giapo sorbet: cocoa and local plum. It was a really special combination – the sour and fresh taste of early summer plums next to the rich, dark cocoa. It’s exciting to see the range of seasonal fruit that Giapo uses, some from customers’ backyards – last time I visited I had loquat sorbet!
This evening we noticed this poster on the wall: the wizard feeding raw, vegan sorbet to a lizard, while a kiwi and a fantail wait their turn. In the magical forest, vegan means no cows. All is happy and sweet.
