El Camino in Kingsland

nachos at el camino

Here is a quick recommendation for you: go to El Camino in Kingsland for dinner. It’s a sweet venue to enjoy delicious Mexican food – just be sure to book, as it’s little and deservingly popular. While nothing on the dinner menu is vegan, almost everything can be made suitably as they have a delicious vegan bean mix and don’t have a problem with leaving cheese and sour cream off things. I had an amazing plate of nachos with a generous helping of avocado to replace the dairy products.

The menu does helpfully note that their sorbets are all vegan friendly. I didn’t have a chance to try any when I visited for dinner, but very much enjoyed my ‘Grumpy Ass’ cocktail (a grapefruit-based Moscow Mule).

  1. FYI went to the Mexican Cafe on Victoria Street and it was really disappointing. They were cool with leaving off the cheese/sour cream but the meals were kind of meh and lacking spice. The mango margaritas are a winner though 🙂
