Brunch bruschetta at Alleluya

vegan bruschetta

In my ongoing quest to try all the vegan brunches in Auckland, one plate I hadn’t yet ordered was the Bruschetta at Alleluya. More than a couple of vegans had recommended it to me, so when we were in K Road recently and in need of late morning food, I thought I’d try it.

The bruschetta was more substantial than I’d expected: lightly toasted Italian bread topped not only with garlic and olive oil, but a layer of portabello mushrooms, spoonfuls of thick green pea tahina and a fresh green salad. It was a simple, tasty combination of flavours, and a decent portion size. I’d definitely order this again.
