The Grassy Knoll: fancy avocado on toast

Avocado on toasted bread is a favourite simple breakfast of mine; I’ve written before about the bagel with avocado, my standby order in a café that doesn’t appear to have vegan options. Its value isn’t just that it’s simple, but that it’s good.

Downtown newcomer The Grassy Knoll has a particularly delicious version: ‘smashed avocado’ on sourdough toast, sprinkled with lemon juice, sea salt and olive oil.

Also excellent: The Marmalade Raider juice, which is made of oranges, apples, grapefruit and lemons.
