So many things to tell you, readers! Here is one: Organic Africa, an organic eatery and African gift shop on Parnell Rise, has a handful of vegan options on its breakfast menu.
I tried the warm cinnamon & nut quinoa bowl, which is a bit like a light porridge: cooked in orange juice and topped with berries and flaked almonds.
Other options include baked beans on toast, homemade muesli, and toast & preserves. Several of the menu options come in regular or ‘cub’ sizes, for your small people.
Organic Africa is a welcome addition to a suburb that doesn’t otherwise feed vegans well at breakfast time. It’s at 373 Parnell Road, towards the top of the hill.
That looks yummy…sure to try it
It’s really yummy at Organic Africa. O
ther Vegan options include delicious soups such as West African Bean and Sweet Potato soup, Curried Cauliflower Soup, Harissa Couscous Soup, Cauliflower and Chickpea Curry, Pumpkin and Chickpea Savoury Cake with a Red Curry Coconut twist, Whipped Kumara and Ginger cakes and more. All homemade and accompanied by delicious relishes and sweet chilli sauces. Yummy!
Sounds great, I’ll have to go back for lunch sometime and check out the rest of the menu. Thanks!
