City Farmers’ Market

For a change of routine, I went to the City Farmers’ Market at Britomart yesterday. It’s a similar size to the Parnell market, with a few different things.

Breakfast was:

  • coffee! Soy flat white from Kokako.
  • a Hungarian bread puff! This was basically deep-fried bread dough, spread with garlic and sea salt. The Hungarian bread puff lady confirmed that no cows were involved in their creation, when I asked if they contained dairy products.
  • fresh figs.

I also bought: fresh apple juice, feijoas & pears & a white sapote, fresh bread, a big bunch of kale, brazil & macadamia nuts & sunflower seeds, limes, and hazelnut turkish delight.
