Coconut porridge at Cereal Killa

Cereal Killa is a recent addition to Dominion Road – it’s a little further out of town than Vinyl, on the same side of the road.

Among its breakfast options is a (mostly) vegan one: coconut porridge with pear & ginger compote, orange zest and berries. It’s deliciously creamy and nutty – cooked in coconut milk – and it becomes vegan when you order it without the caramel sauce on top.

A helpful serving person told me that they could also make a vegan version of their mushrooms on toast, for a savoury option.
